Soft Neck Lift

Per un collo sempre giovane

Aging is a slow process, consisting of small and constant changes becoming visible with time: depressions on the face, loss of elasticity and tone in the neck, sagging cheeks and wrinkles are unavoidable signs of aging on the look of our face and neck. Soft Neck Lift is a soft alternative to traditional lifting, to improve the look of your neck in a short time and with a natural aesthetical result. Soft Neck Lift is a minimally invasive procedure, to quickly improve the appearance of the anterior cervical region.

This procedure is performed using suture wires, which are invisible and the patient cannot feel them. They leave no visible scars and they do not require any bandage afterwards.

The procedure

Soft necklift is a minimally invasive procedure, performed under local anesthesia, which allows to lift and, therefore, rejuvenate the neck region, without loosening or removing skin and leaving only a 3 mm-scar behind the ear. The patient will feel no pain during the operation.
The procedure length is about 30 minutes.
The suspension sutures used are invisible and the patient cannot feel them. At the end of the procedure, no bandages or stitches are necessary.

Preoperative Preparation

The patient will be asked not to take aspirin, or other medications containing it, 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after surgery. Aspirin can cause bleeding and, as a consequence, increase the risk of complications.
It is recommended to apply Antibacterial Shampoo the night before and the morning of the surgery day.
Hair color can be used until 3 days before the procedure.

Post-operative care

No bandage is applied and, starting from the third day after surgery, the patient can gently wash his/her hair.
The patient will look presentable already on the day of surgery, even though a little swelling might persist for a week.

After the procedure

After surgery, some edema (swelling) will occur, together with erythema (redness) and ecchymosis (bruises), but normally there will be no or very little pain and discomfort.

Possible complications

Specific risks connected to a soft neck lift are limited and, as a rule, rare. It might be necessary to take painkillers to reduce a slight pain, which might occur in the ear region.
Edema (swelling) and ecchymosis might occur, but they will disappear within 2-3 days and, furthermore, they can easily be hidden with make-up.

Recovery time (back to the social life)

Immediate.
Direct sun exposure must be limited for about one week or until ecchymosis has disappeared completely. Heat on the face, such as warm compress and massage, must also be limited.
